That business is a quaint bed and breakfast, Inn Shepard's Park, a picturesque residence from which Marilyn has welcomed guests since she officially opened its doors two years ago. The Inn boasts all the comforts of home, and then some: four comfortably furnished guest rooms, each with its own decorating scheme; a main parlor for socializing; a spacious, wrap-around porch with views of Frazier Creek and Shepard's Park, and an outdoor area complete with hammock and hot tub.

Host and owner Marilyn Miller has owned this historic home for six years. She spent four years renovating it to perfection before opening for business. Now she and her family of pets (two golden retrievers, Samson and Sadie, and cats Daisy and Delilah) welcome guests from across the country and around the world, as well as locals who want to get away from it all right here at home. She even generously took in guests during the hurricane who were evacuated from their homes.

Marilyn has tried a range of careers - from interior design to real estate - but at Inn Shepard's Park, she has returned to her roots. Her family has three bed and breakfast residences in New Jersey, and has been in the business for 22 years.
