For years women have had a few opportunities to meet as a group and talk about their business interests in a purely social setting. There are many women organizations where they pay a membership fee and are encouraged to get involved in committees and projects, but nothing that offers them the freedom of networking with other business women, women who volunteer and women who stay at home.

This is a group in Martin County that has been meeting for lunch each month for a little over a year. Women who attend the lunch bring their business cards or printed information about their business and leave them at each place setting on the restaurants tables so they can be contacted if needed.

They recently decided to give themselves a name and the overwhelming favorite was the Power Lunch Bunch. So far is the only formalization of the group and they want to keep it that way.
